How far in advance must we schedule a tour?
When arranging your visit we request that tours be reserved at least two weeks in advance.

Is there a fee for Guided Tours?
We can provide docent led tours for each site upon request. There is a $25.00 deposit required that is fully refundable upon the day of your tour. If you would like to tour more than one site on a given day, the deposit remains $25.00 for all sites inclusive.

What do we do when we arrive?
Upon arrival at your destination please check in with your docent and verify the number of people in your group.

Are Food and Drinks Allowed at the sites?
No food or drink is allowed at any of the sites. There are restrooms in each of the Museum buildings, but not at the Plantation Site.

Can we take pictures?
Pictures are prohibited in the Museum buildings to protect the artifacts on display.
Pictures are allowed at the Abner Jackson Plantation Site.

What about Parking?
Parking is free and there is adequate parking for buses at each of the sites. Please call 979-297-1570 for more details.

Are the sites Handicap Accessibility?
The Lake Jackson Historical Museum is compliant with ADA standards and hosts accessible restrooms, an elevator, and upon request makes available an in-house wheel chair and walker.
The Abner Jackson Plantation site and the Alden B. Dow Office Museum are not handicap accessible.
