The Lake Jackson Historical Museum is hosting extra activities for children all Summer long! These hands on activities will connect different aspects of Lake Jackson history to engage children. The activities will change each month over the Summer.
Conversations: The Changing Face of Downtown Architecture, September 18th from 7-9pm. From mid-century modern architecture to plantation revival to independent design the face of downtown has changed. Join us at the Lake Jackosn Historical Museum for a panel history of architecture in downtown Lake Jackson and how it has changed over the last 70 years.
Treasures from the Vault: Lake Theater, September 25th from 5- 7 pm. Please join us at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum for refreshments as we remember the Lake Theater. Browse through our artifacts from the Lake Theater and share memories. Bring objects and photos from Lake Theater to share with our Curator.
Explore the unique history of the city of Lake Jackson at the 12,000 square foot Museum. The Museum chronicles the rich history of the city with interactive exhibits and high-tech displays. The Museum focuses on four eras of history including; the prehistoric era, the plantation era, development of the area's petrochemical industry and the founding of modern Lake Jackson.
