The Lake Jackson Historical Museum is hosting extra activities for children all Summer long! These hands on activities will connect different aspects of Lake Jackson history to engage children. The activities will change each month over the Summer. 

Science Festival Saturday, July 26th at the Lake Jackson Historical Museum. The Association in cooperation with the American Chemical Society will be hosting our annual Science Festival from 10am to 1pm. This year we will be exploring the chemistry behind candy and participants will be able to watch chemical reactions and conduct your own experiments! As always the Master Naturalists will be on hand so visitors can visit and play with reptiles! Flyer

Lake Jackson Historical Museum Open House, August 7th from 6 to 8pm. Tour updated exhibits, enjoy light refreshments, meet our experienced staff and learn about Association events and exhibits! 


Explore the unique history of the city of Lake Jackson at the 12,000 square foot Museum. The Museum chronicles the rich history of the city with interactive exhibits and high-tech displays. The Museum focuses on four eras of history including; the prehistoric era, the plantation era, development of the area's petrochemical industry and the founding of modern Lake Jackson.
